Aims and Scope of the Journal

The focus of attention of Rocznik Polsko‐Niemiecki are Polish‐German relationships, including relationships within the framework of the European Union and German‐speaking areas in Europe (with emphasis on Germany and the history of both German states post World War II, and Austria). The journal is not devoted to monitor the current events but rather to analyze these events in a wider historical context. Consequently, texts relating to history or combining the perspective of history, political science and sociology constitute a substantial component of the articles published. Moreover, the Annual publishes documents, reviews and scientific reviews. The journal does not center around political situations but rather publishes texts which contribute to social, economic and cultural sphere in science, the target being to do so more and more broadly. These are the Institute’s of Political Studies, PAS employees who form the core of authors, presenting the results of their own findings and research projects. However, texts of researchers from other research centres appear in each and every issue of the journal as well.
