Call for Articles 2026

2025-02-21

Ladies and Gentlemen,

we cordially invite you to submit your articles for the new next year’s issue of Rocznik Polsko-Niemiecki 2026, no. 34.

In the area we are interested in, we had two important events. Firstly. On September 29, elections were held in Austria, and the FPÖ emerged as the strongest party. However, President Alexander van der Bellen entrusted the mission of forming a government to the ÖVP. At the beginning of 2025, coalition talks with SPÖ and NEOS broke down, just like the subsequent talks between the FPÖ and the ÖVP, and at the time of writing these words, talks between the ÖVP and the SPÖ are ongoing again. In the background, there were speculations about the need to return to the policy thinking of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Germany holds elections to the Bundestag on February 23. Although the populist AfD will not be the strongest party, its support in the polls remains stable at around 20% means that the Christian Democrats (approx. 30%), which excludes cooperation with the AfD, will not have an easy time forming a coalition and introducing the much-needed reforms. Both of these events will be the focus of the Rocznik Polsko-Niemiecki (Polish-German Yearbook) 2026.

We are also open to articles on other issues, not only political science, but also historical, sociological and legal. It is impossible not to appreciate the discussion about the new situation in which Germany (and Europe) found itself after the election of Donald Tramp as president. We also ask you to send your reviews.

Please send your articles in Polish, English or German. Information on the rules for their preparation can be found on the website http://www.rocznikpolskoniemiecki.pl/.
