Ukrainian-Polish relations are formed under the conditions of changes in the system of international relations and the formation of new geopolitical orders. These relations have a long historical tradition characterised by different approaches depending on historical periods and the formation of external and internal relations in the countries. Since Ukraine regained its independence, and particularly during the two revolutions, transformational processes in Ukraine and their relations with neighbouring countries, mainly from Central and Eastern Europe, have required new approaches and meanings. Since Ukraine regained its independence, the Republic of Poland has always been a partner and lobbyist for Ukrainian interests in the international political arena. The assistance of Poland in the context of military aggression in the east of Ukraine is particulary notable.
