Submissions

Make a new submission or view your pending submissions.

 

After registering and logging into the system, please upload two files:

(1) A file containing the anonymised manuscript, with a file name identical to the title of the article.

The manuscript should not exceed 35,000 characters. Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of the page and formatted in accordance with the Chicago Style guidelines (see the examples under the “Footnote Format” tab).

All information revealing the identity of the authors must be removed from the text (names, self-citations, and other data, e.g., contained in the document's "Properties"). This information can be restored after the text is accepted for publication.

(2) A file named “metadata” containing:

(a) information about the author: first name, surname, contact details, institutional address, ORCID iD, and a short biographical note (up to 200 characters);

(b) an abstract (up to 800 characters);

(c) keywords in (maximum 7);

(d) a bibliography prepared in accordance with the Chicago Style guidelines.

Format of both files: .doc or .docx; Times New Roman, 12 pt; line spacing: 1.5; margins: 2.5 cm.

Footnotes and bibliographies in Civitas should be prepared in accordance with the Chicago style guidelines. Examples of footnotes:
