Publication Ethics

Authors are asked to ensure that their submission meets the criteria listed below. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s editorial requirements may be rejected.

• I declare that the submitted article is the sole and original work of the authors named therein and that no person whose contribution to the article was insignificant is listed as an author.
• I declare that, from the date on which the submitted article is accepted for publication, I grant Civitas, free of charge and for an unlimited period of time, a worldwide licence to reproduce, distribute, and sublicense the article, in whole or in part, in any form, including electronic form, effective upon acceptance for publication.
• I declare that the files containing the article have been prepared in accordance with the journal’s requirements and contain no information (whether in the text, title, or file name) that could reveal the identity of the author.
• The manuscript has been formatted in accordance with the journal’s guidelines for authors concerning style and the preparation of the bibliography.

When submitting an article for publication through the journal’s editorial system, authors will be asked to make one of the following two declarations concerning the use of AI:

1. Generative artificial intelligence and/or AI-assisted technologies WERE USED in the preparation of the manuscript, and detailed information concerning their use has been provided in the article;
2. Generative artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies WERE NOT USED in the preparation of the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest arises when economic, professional, or personal relationships between authors, reviewers, or members of the Editorial Board may influence the assessment of a manuscript or the decision-making process concerning its publication in Civitas. Studia z Filozofii Polityki.

A conflict of interest may also arise from participation in joint projects, previous co-authorship of publications, or professional or political rivalry.

Any author, reviewer, or member of the Editorial Board who has a conflict of interest of any kind is required to disclose it to the journal’s Editor-in-Chief.
