Results of the 6th Edition of the Competition for the Prof. Elżbieta Tarkowska Award

On the pages of the book, the reader finds a complete - concerning legal regulations, available system solutions, relations with patients, with other family members and with support institutions - picture of the social reality of those who perform the role of family caregiver of a person with Alzheimer's disease. The author documents their subjective definitions of the situation, the choices made and the actions taken, which valorize, dynamize and define their all spheres of life. Among the interesting results of the analyses is the thesis that it is difficult to abandon the role of a caregiver of a person with Alzheimer's disease, even when its further realization is no longer necessary.
