The article discusses the Republic of Korea's security policy under Yoon Suk Yeol's presidency from 2022 to 2024. With the growing threat from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the rapprochement between the DPRK and the Russian Federation, South Korea faces a complex challenge. As a result, strengthening the joint alliance with the US has become a top priority for the Yoon administration. In this article, the author will demonstrate that both the Washington Declaration and the Camp David summit were groundbreaking for the US-South Korea alliance, which remains the main pillar of peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region for more than 70 years. Consequently, from 2023 onwards, the US bilateral alliances with the Republic of Korea and Japan will gradually evolve into a trilateral alliance that will counterbalance the strategic partnership Kim-Putin and People's Republic of China in the North-East Asian region.
