The aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is an event that completely changed the current international order. From the beginning of hostilities, it was possible to distinguish between countries that supported the attacked Ukraine and those that sympathized with Russia. South Korea, like most Western countries, supported Ukraine, but refused to transfer weapons to it. This decision aroused controversy because the Republic of Korea has advanced types of weapons, its position on the global arms market is constantly growing, and thanks to the popularity of culture, it has so far been perceived only positively in the world. However, the war in Ukraine has shaken the global order and changed the existing determinants. This article will present the position of the South Korean authorities towards the Russian invasion in Ukraine. The reasons for the current policy and the possibility of changing it will be discussed.
