Civitas. Studia z Filozofii Polityki is a journal published by the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences annually since 1997 and biannually since 2017, its mission being to provide a useful forum for heated debates on traditional and modern political ideas from various research perspectives, not limited to the Philosophy of Politics but encompassing also other fields within Humanities.

Civitas. Studia z Filozofii Polityki is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. All articles in the journal are published in the open access formula, on the licence Creative Commons Attribution – NonCommercial – ShareAlike 4.0 International License

The journal does not charge submission or publication fees for the manuscripts.

The Author grants the ISP PAN the non-exclusive proprietary copyrights license for the work in all fields of exploitation listed in Art. 50 of the Act of February 4, 1994 about copyright and related rights. The license also includes the right for further sublicensing in the aforementioned fields of exploitation.

Sending an article for publication is tantamount to a statement that it was not published or submitted for publication in another journal and that it does not infringe on the copyrights of other persons and entities.

All the submitted manuscripts are verified in the Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to prevent the plagiarism and duplicate publications.
