Abstrakt

Artykuł recenzyjny odnosi się do monografii Aleksandrii N. Ruble pt. Entangled Emancipation: Women’s Rights in Cold War Germany, wydanej w Toronto w 2023 r. Przypomina najważniejsze założenia i etapy modernizacji prawa rodzinnego w zakresie równouprawnienia kobiet w Niemczech Wschodnich i Zachodnich po II wojnie światowej. Przede wszystkim przybliża problematykę książki Entangled Emancipation, w której autorka z perspektywy gender studies w ujęciu porównawczym oraz interdyscyplinarnym zrekonstruowała historię zmagań o prawną i faktyczną równouprawnienie kobiet w obu państwach niemieckich, zarysowała dzieje rozwoju prawa rodzinnego oraz odmienne modele emancypacji kobiet w obu państwach niemieckich, wpisując je w kontekst zimnowojennej rywalizacji.
