In the process of energy transformation, or even more broadly, ecological transformation, Western economies may be exposed to a decrease in competitiveness and the risk of migration of production capacity. The competition for positions in the race for mastering key technologies and access to raw materials to use them is intensifying. The success of the transformation will depend to a large extent on the ability to develop and commercialize the clean technologies necessary to implement the transformation. The key issue is also the creation of production potential so as not to fall into dependence on components and technologies from China. In order to maintain the cohesion of the West, a model of non-competitive cooperation in creating the supply chain of "green technologies" and global access to raw materials should be developed.
