Contemporary troubles with values: A polemical-critical essay

Abstract

The article, “Contemporary troubles with values,” is an attempt at a “phenomenological” description of the “functioning” of the word/concept “value”/”values,” a word that frequently appears in public debate today, as well as a reflection on the transformations in European “spirituality” that this phenomenon may indicate. Due to the scale and complexity of the issue, the author presents his views as reasoned opinions in the form of a polemical essay.
