Four Polish historians of Greek philosophy of the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, who undertook journeys to Greece and Athens, to the cradle of philosophy, are presented in this paper. In the chronological order of their journeys they are: W. Dzieduszycki (1848-1909), W. Lutosławski (1863-1954), T. Sinko (1877-1966), and W. Witwicki (1878-1948). They set out for the Athens being on various steps of their academic careers, and in various ways they went through their personal experiences of philosophy’s homeland, their reports on their impressions and reflections also put on various forms.
