Social perception of the stage of life that is old age is today the subject of numerous studies and scientific inquiries. The results of the research described in this paper are part of this trend. The purpose of the article is to present the profile of contemporary old age that emerges from the opinions of people belonging to the Baby Boomers generation, also called the generation of youth culture. Interviews using the free interview technique with a standardised list of the kind of information sought, conducted with representatives of this generation, constitute the source of information. The material collected made it possible to capture the positive and negative sides of contemporary old age in Poland, and the opinions of the interviewees were analysed, among other things, in relation to the social biography of the Polish post-war Baby Boomers generation.
