Długie trwanie czy ulatnianie się plebejskich dóbr wspólnych? W stronę (a)socjologii historycznej
Abstrakt
Cel artykułu jest dwojaki. Po pierwsze, stanowi on komentarz do trwającego obecnie wzrostu zainteresowania historią ludową w polskim świecie akademickim i debacie publicznej. Stawiam pytanie: dlaczego polscy autorzy pomijają w swoich badaniach rolę dóbr wspólnego, biorąc pod uwagę, że to zjawisko ma kluczowe znaczenie dla zagranicznych historyków klas ludowych? Po drugie, zastanawiając się nad tym konkretnym przeoczeniem polskich autorów, staram się poruszyć bardziej ogólną kwestię dotyczącą konceptualizacji dóbr wspólnych, a dokładniej: plebejskich dóbr wspólnych. Pokazuję, że dobra wspólne konstruowane i reprodukowane przez grupy podporządkowane charakteryzują się ulotnością. Dzieje się tak dlatego, że plebejskie podmiotowości – w walce o obronę dobra wspólnego przed grodzeniami – posługują się strategią ucieczki przed przedstawicielami państwa i kapitału. W ten sposób dobra wspólne stają się – w znacznym stopniu – niedostrzegalne także dla badaczy korzystających z archiwów klas dominujących. Ale to, że plebejskie dobra wspólne wymykają się z archiwów, niekoniecznie oznacza, by nie istniały i by nie mogły przetrwać. W konkluzji zarysowuję paradygmat „asocjologii historycznej” jako możliwego podejścia w badaniu nieczytelnych i ulotnych form dobra wspólnego. Moja propozycja jest inspirowana przez prace tych badaczy klas plebejskich, którzy skupiają się na roli dobra wspólnego w zakresie zawiązywania autonomicznych i bezpańskich sposobów życia.
