The article presents an analysis of the political participation and preferences of young adults in relation to their value orientations. The political activity of young people who, upon turning 18, gain civic rights and are at a developmental stage where they seek personal goals and identify with new values, constitutes an important research problem. Based on quantitative research conducted between 2018 and 2023 among final-year high school students in Bydgoszcz (N=1252), the study examined their level of political interest, engagement in various forms of political activity, left-right orientation, and the values embraced by young adults. The findings indicate that the surveyed students report a moderate level of interest in politics and political activity. The results vary depending on the year of the study, gender, school type, educational profile, as well as certain value orientations.
