Aims and scope

Studia Polityczne is a leading political science journal in Central and Eastern Europe, whose aim is to publish high-quality research in all areas of political science, including public policy, public administration, comparative politics, political sociology and international relations.

The journal publishes methodologically rigorous and original works of significance to the broadly understood discipline. The journal's editors welcome papers in Polish and in English, that are embedded in theories and methodologies used in social sciences. Texts that adopt innovative research approaches and transcend the traditional framework of subdisciplines are particularly welcome. Empirically, the editors particularly encourage the submission of research results regarding the Central and Eastern European region, including Poland, or taking into account the region from a comparative perspective.

Studia Polityczne is a quarterly journal and has been published by the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 1992. All texts are published free of charge in open access. The editors promote the highest international standards in peer review.
